The goal of
THE AMERICAN CHESTNUT FOUNDATION
is to restore the American chestnut tree to its native range within
the woodlands of the eastern United States, using a scientific
research and breeding program developed by its founders. A
blight-resistant American chestnut tree is expected to be ready for
planting within the next decade. Help bring back the American
Chestnut from the brink of extinction. As a member in The
American Chestnut Foundation:
